Hi REDEKOP!

I’m excited to share that this November, I’ll be returning to Namibia with Fleetwood International Church. Two years ago, our church sent a small team to partner with the Church of Opuwo in northern Namibia. We spent hours driving through rocky desert and sandy terrain with no real roads so that we could reach remote villages where few have ever heard the gospel. In each village, we had the privilege of ministering, teaching, worshipping, and sharing life with some of the most kind and beautiful people I’ve ever met.

When we left, it felt like the work had only just begun. So when the opportunity came to go back, this time with a larger team and more resources, I knew I couldn’t say no to God’s leading. I’m especially excited to keep growing in mission work and sharing the gospel in new ways. On our last trip, I helped drive one of the trucks, helped run kids programs, connected with youth and young adults, and captured stories through photos and videos. This year, I’ve been invited to join the preaching and devotional team which is something that’s both exciting and a little nerve-wracking, but trusting God to speak through me.

Our mission is to encourage and equip our partners who serve on the front lines in these remote regions, share the love of Jesus with unreached people groups, and strengthen the local church. We’ll also be helping with Sunday services, children’s ministry, and leadership training for ongoing outreach.

I would love if you would partner with me and our team in prayer: for provision, protection, and for God to prepare the hearts of those we’ll meet. If you’re able, I’d also be so grateful for your financial support toward my trip cost of $3,500. Every bit truly makes a difference, and even your time in reading this already means so much to me.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to share what God does in Namibia!

financial partnership

Your financial support is greatly appreciated and donations can be made in the following ways:

  • E-transfer to jarelayuson@gmail.com or 236 516 0007 (if it’s easier, you can set up the password to be: namibia) / This is helpful for anyone who wants a tax receipt and would prefer not to write a cheque or send cash, as I will submit the money as cash on your behalf and set you up with a tax receipt (I would just need your name and address)

  • PayPal works similar to e-transfer and is a good solution for international friends [note: my username can’t be changed, so @KurdistanRefugees is from when I was raising money for my Kurdistan trip - https://paypal.me/KurdistanRefugees

  • Cheques are payable to Fleetwood International Church. Please include a note indicating that it’s for the Namibia Mission and specify my name

  • Cash: Please include a separate note with your name, address, and the designation as mentioned above

Prayer partnership

Financial support can be a huge sacrifice, so no presure at all. If you could, would you join us as in prayer both in the weeks leading up to and while we are away (Oct 31-Nov 14) for the following:

  • Pray that God would provide and even exceed the resources needed so that every team member’s trip is covered. Also, that we would have enough to bless the people of Namibia with necessities and resources

  • Pray for our team as we prepare, both spiritually and practically

  • Pray for protection from sickness, from the attacks of the enemy, from travel challenges, (and even from the wild animals/insects we might encounter)

  • Pray for the people we’ll meet - for softened hearts, open ears, and a readiness to receive the gospel in a way that transforms lives and ripples out to more places where the gospel has never been heard before

Each night of our village outreach we would gather around a fire and exchange stories, songs, and we would share the gospel message

thank you!

Thank you for reading and considering partnering with me for the FIC Namibia Mission 2025. Your support and prayers mean a lot to me. I can’t wait to see how God moves through our team and I’m so excited to share those stories when I return. Curious what last year’s trip looked like? Check out some highlights below :)

With gratitude,

jarel
